Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of AI Check The Small Print (the "Service"), operated by AI Check The Small Print, Ltd. ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Definitions

  • "Service" — the website and AI-powered contract review tools at aicheckthesmallprint.com.
  • "User" — any person who accesses or uses the Service.
  • "Credits" — prepaid units purchased by the User to pay for document reviews and follow-up questions.
  • "Content" — all text, analysis, and other material generated or made available through the Service.

2. Nature of the Service

The Service uses artificial intelligence to assist with the review of contracts and legal documents. You acknowledge that:

  • The AI analysis is for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice.
  • We are not a law firm and no solicitor-client relationship is created by your use of the Service.
  • You should seek independent professional legal advice before signing or acting upon any contract.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any analysis produced by the Service.

3. User Accounts

You sign in to the Service using your Google account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.

4. Credits and Payment

  • The Service operates on a pay-as-you-go credit basis. Credits must be purchased in advance.
  • One credit covers the initial review of a document plus nine follow-up questions. Longer documents may require more credits for the initial review, as indicated before the review begins.
  • Additional follow-up questions beyond the nine included cost one credit per ten questions.
  • Credits do not expire.
  • All credit purchases are non-refundable. Once purchased, credits cannot be exchanged for cash or refunded, whether used or unused.
  • All prices are in pounds sterling (£) and are inclusive of any applicable VAT.

5. Prohibited Activities

You must not:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Upload documents containing malicious code, viruses, or other harmful content.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or circumvent any security measures.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our express written permission.
  • Infringe the intellectual property rights of us or any third party.

6. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Service — including software, design, text, and graphics — belong to AI Check The Small Print, Ltd. or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission. You retain ownership of any documents you upload.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AI Check The Small Print, Ltd. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AI Check The Small Print, Ltd., its directors, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service or your breach of these Terms.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales in respect of any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or acted in a way harmful to other users or to us.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
